Training
LA Lift Services provides forklift training and certification. We come to your *office, or have you to the LA Lift Services facility to train one person - or an entire team.
Don’t get fined!
The forklift certification program titled, “OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.178” requires employers to establish and implement a forklift training and certification program. Failure to provide adequate training and certification as required by OSHA, can result in fines up to $7,000 per employee.
OSHA requires already certified forklift operators to receive a refresher training course under any of the following conditions or events:
- The operator has been observed to operate vehicle in an unsafe manner
- The operator has been involved in an accident or near-miss incident
- The operator received an evalutation that reveals that the operator is not operating the truck safely
- The operator is assigned to drive a different type of truck
- The condition in the workplace changes in a manner that could affect safe operation of the truck
- An evaluation of each powered truck operator's performance shall be conducted at least once every three years
Training and certification is a three step process:
- Watch training video accompanied by workbook with OSHA regulations
- Take a test in True/False format
- Driving test on a course, in which employer makes final determination of pass/fail
